We’re updating our website. Could you complete the introductory page on keeping an exotic pet? You can check the HK Exotic Pets Forum webpage and the Foreword from the Exotic Pet Owner’s Guide and remember to check your notes from the Pet Club podcast.

We’ve had a complaint letter from Mrs. Cheung about the advice we gave to her son. Please can you write a reply letter to apologise, explain the disadvantages of sugar gliders and suggest that she consider a snake instead (non-poisonous, of course!). You should start by looking at Mrs. Cheung’s letter. You might also want to take a look at the webpage from the Hong Kong Sugar Glider Association, the HK Exotic Pets Forum webpage, and the Foreword from the Exotic Pet Owner’s Guide. Remember to use your notes from the Pet Club podcast too.

We’re considering including a page on our website where kids can keep a virtual pet. Can you do some research into this and send me a report? In your report, you should give background information about virtual pets, describe what virtual pet owners do with their virtual pets and describe the advantages of keeping a virtual pet. You might want to look at the extract from the interview with Vicky Wong and Kit Poon, any available statistics and the page from the Cincinnati Pet Owners’ Newsletter.
